A Bit About Therapy

I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among patients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.

Services I Offer

Your well-being is my ultimate concern. I provide a wide range of mindful psychological counseling. My therapy sessions are designed to strengthen your inner confidence, and assist you in healing from anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Through Mindfulness-based Interventions I bring compassion and expertise that comes from years of experience in addressing life’s emotional challenges.  My Individual Therapeutic sessions help patients heal from their past and develop positive attitudes towards life’s most challenging circumstances.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR Therapy is a highly effective psychotherapy technique used for treatment of anxiety, panic, depression, and post-traumatic stress. With extensive knowledge regarding healing relationships, substance abuse, and symptoms of trauma, I guide my patients every step of the way, implementing methods to help them develop new attitudes towards life’s most complex matters.

I completed a bachelor's degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Visual and Critical Studies and have a master’s degrees from the European Graduate School in Philosophy, Art and Critical Theory, where I completed my thesis on the Institutional Psychotherapy movement in France and on the work of Félix Guattari. I also have a masters from Antioch University Los Angeles in Clinical Psychology. I am currently studying and training at the Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity.

My style is curious, non-judgmental, and empathetic. I am EMDR trained and utilize a trauma informed approach. I also have a psychodynamic perspective which means I like to collaborate with the client in an exploration of their history to better understand current issues. I am passionate about viewing the individual holistically and find great joy in helping my clients gain new insight. My goal is to provide an affirmative and healing environment with the client’s sense of safety and boundaries guiding this process. In my free time I love to cook, read, and run in Griffith Park.

Individuals, Couples & Families Therapy Session $150 per hour

Accepting new clients in California via secure telehealth and in person.

I’m a relational therapist with training in attachment focused trauma and EMDR.  I use a holistic and collaborative approach to help my clients gain awareness and insight in order to cultivate change and deeper connection.  I work with individuals, couples and families struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and life transitions.  I offer a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental place, so that we can work together to process painful and traumatic emotions, navigate life-stressors, gain new insights, and take practical steps toward healthy self-acceptance.

As an immigrant who moved to California at the age of 12, I come from a place of cultural curiosity and understanding that I believe supports my clients in seeing and accepting their unique experiences.  Together we will explore the cultural and familial stories that result in the challenging emotions, behaviors and thought patterns, and barriers that have interfered with growth, self-trust and intuition.  My goal is to meet you where you are at, and walk with you on your journey of healing, growth, and creativity leading to living an authentic and meaningful life.

I live in Los Angeles with my husband and our two teenage sons. I worked in the music industry creating video content for artists and musicians for many years, before returning to school to receive my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.  I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from CSUN.
